Asia plants seeds for medical cannabis market

Thailand, Singapore and China are all looking to invest into cannabis research with the goal of growing cannabis in the future.

Asia is starting to make waves in the cannabis industry.

Several Asian countries are looking to reform cannabis legislation, potentially making the region one of the main production areas in the world.

A proposed legal framework has been reviewed by the Thainland government with Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha wanting it to be put in motion before the end of 2018.

It will take a much longer period of time for Asian countries to enter the recreational marketing with the regions having some of the worlds strictest narcotic laws. Some offences punishable by death.
